The Ilisu HPP with 1,200 MW installed capacity located on Tigris River in Eastern Turkey, involved construction of 130 m high CFRD with a fill volume of 25 million m3. The diversion structures are comprised of 3 x 12 m Ø diversion tunnels; a gated spillway with 6 bays (16 x 16 m) has 16,000 m3/s (PMF) discharge capacity. Three gated intakes with power tunnel 9~11 m Ø, each 350 m long terminate in the powerhouse with 6 x200 MW Francis turbines.
